Job Description: Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Material Management Analyst to join our Supply Chain team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end material movements, Goods Receipts (GR), and Post Goods Issues (PGI) to enable regional teams for revenue generation and timely month-end closure.
The ideal candidate will act as a critical bridge between Logistics, Procurement, and Finance, ensuring absolute data integrity within SAP, supporting internal audit compliance, and maintaining seamless global stock visibility. Key Responsibilities Material Operations & Transactional Excellence Execute end-to-end material management activities, including Goods Receipts (GR) and Post Goods Issues (PGI) in SAP.
Cross-verify logistics documentation against Purchase Orders (POs) using 2-way and 3-way matching principles before processing quantities. Conduct bi-weekly reviews of overdue PO cases with Buyers to ensure swift resolution. Actively monitor open PO lifecycles and follow up with procurement stakeholders to gather documentation for prompt closure. Maintain an advanced understanding of global plant locations by region to optimize visibility into stock movements.
Material & Inventory Management Coordinate across multiple geographies and time zones to ensure seamless material movement and system alignment. Investigate root causes for delivery delays, quantity shortages, or receipt discrepancies, and implement corrective actions. Ensure 100% compliant documentation for all material receipts to support internal and external audit requirements. Archive all receipted documents systematically in SharePoint for management and audit visibility.
Logistics & Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with logistics partners to track shipments and ensure timely system capture of material receipts for downstream stock consumption. Monitor daily logistics operations and resolve shipment-related challenges, escalating critical issues only during high-stakes month-end closure periods. Partner closely with Planning, Manufacturing, Finance (Audit), and Logistics teams to align operations with organizational objectives.
Support continuous procurement process improvements and automation initiatives. Required Skills & Qualifications Mandatory Requirements Experience: 2–4 years of professional experience in Supply Chain operations, specifically focusing on Logistics and Material Movements. Technical ERP Skills: Hands-on experience with SAP (specifically PO verification, GR/PGI transaction codes, and material ledger tracking).
Month-End Closure: Proven exposure to working alongside inventory and finance teams during high-pressure month-end closures. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving capabilities with a keen eye for identifying documentation discrepancies and supply chain bottlenecks. Communication: Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills to effectively collaborate with global teams. Preferred Qualifications Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data modeling) and supply chain reporting tools.
Foundational knowledge of supply planning and inventory optimization concepts. Prior exposure to or participation in lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement/automation projects.
