About the role We are seeking an experienced Head of Proposals to lead our global proposal function for Pyro& Grinding . Reporting to the Head of Global Sales and Product Line Management – P&G  you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, competitive, and commercially sound proposals for complex equipment, systems, and integrated solutions. You will own the full proposal lifecycle—from opportunity qualification and bid/no-bid decisions through proposal development, submission, and handover to project execution.

Partnering with Sales, Product Line Management, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Project Management, and regional teams, you will ensure proposals meet customer needs while supporting business objectives for revenue, margin, and risk. As a senior leader, you will provide direction on complex and high-value bids, establish consistent ways of working across regions, and drive continuous improvement in proposal processes, tools, and best practices.

This position is open for Copenhagen , Allentown or Chennai location . Your  Responsibilities : Proposal Leadership Lead the global proposal function, ensuring consistent processes, standards, and best practices across regions and product lines. Manage the proposal pipeline and prioritize resources based on business needs, opportunity complexity, and deadlines. Lead bid/no-bid processes and provide guidance on bid strategy, customer requirements, solution positioning, and competitive considerations.

Proposal Development & Bid Management Lead the development of complex proposals for engineered equipment, systems, and integrated solutions. Coordinate cross-functional teams to address technical, commercial, financial, contractual, and project execution requirements. Establish proposal schedules, responsibilities, review milestones, and submission requirements. Ensure proposals clearly define the solution, scope of supply, pricing, assumptions, exclusions, commercial terms, and value proposition.

Review proposals for accuracy, completeness, competitiveness, and alignment with approved company requirements. Support Sales during customer clarifications, negotiations, and proposal revisions. Commercial & Risk Management Partner with Sales, Finance, and Legal to identify and manage commercial, financial, and contractual risks. Support pricing strategy and review costs, margins, contingencies, payment terms, warranties, guarantees, and other commercial requirements.

Ensure appropriate consideration of key risks, including performance guarantees, liquidated damages, delivery obligations, currency exposure, and warranty requirements. Support international contracting requirements, export financing, ECA frameworks, and bank guarantees where applicable. Ensure proposal commitments, assumptions, and exclusions are documented and effectively handed over to project execution.
