R&D unit in KTI is responsible for developing digital services at KONE. It’s the development engine for our Digital Services such as KONE 24/7 Connected Services, Office Flow and Partnership Ecosystem. Our common goal at KONE is to keep the end users safe and people flow uninterrupted.
KONE moves 2 billion people every day and that means our services can really make cities better places to live. What will you be doing? Support and manage engineering and calculation-related applications used within Shared R&D, such as E-Site Survey, Mathcad, and similar tools. Coordinate with application owners, business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to ensure application availability, performance, and user satisfaction.
Manage application configurations, access controls, service accounts, and operational support activities. Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate resolution across technical teams. Participate in the modernization of legacy applications to cloud-native platforms and services. Support API-based integrations and secure connectivity between applications and enterprise systems. Contribute to solution design, implementation, testing, and deployment of new integrations and enhancements.
Utilize REST APIs, scripting, and automation to improve operational efficiency, reporting, and system interoperability. Coordinate vulnerability remediation efforts with application teams, IT operations, infrastructure teams, and security stakeholders. Track remediation progress, ensure timely closure, and maintain compliance with organizational security requirements. Support secure authentication, authorization, and integration practices.
Support and administer licensing tools used across R&D departments. Monitor license utilization, availability, optimization opportunities, and compliance requirements. Provide stakeholder support and reporting related to software license usage. Manage and support ITSM processes including: Incident Management, Problem Management, Service Request Fulfillment, Knowledge Management Ensure timely resolution of operational issues and continuous service improvement.
Coordinate testing, deployment, release, and operational readiness activities. Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and team objectives. Create and maintain operational documentation, knowledge articles, support procedures, and technical guidelines.
