Location: 127 Public Square, Cleveland Ohio Job Summary The Commercial Analyst Lead will direct a team of Middle Market Commercial Analysts supporting the Sales Leaders and Relationship Managers with sales and lending activities in specific markets. The CA Lead will be responsible oversight of the CAs to ensure consistency in the role, monitor CA workflow in adherence to process and procedures, and review CA out-puts to ensure consistency and accuracy.
The CA Lead will also be responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, and development of the CAs on their team. In addition to the responsibilities above the CA Lead will partner with Middle Market Leadership, Credit, Underwriting Partners and other designated partners to identify and implement ongoing process improvements. Responsibilities Directly interact with Regional Sales Executive, Commercial Sales Leaders, and Relationship Managers on in market sales strategy and support.
Give direction and drives accountability for results for Commercial Analysts. Ensure propose use of systems to ensure that they are both client service oriented and attentive to managing risk and value-added servicing activities. Monitor and Audit Commercial Analyst workflow in adherence to process and procedures. Monitor and Review Commercial Analyst out-puts (pre-flight/pitch books/collaboration/ communication) to ensure consistency and accuracy Hire, onboard and train new Commercial Analysts to ensure the individuals can fulfill the needed credit acumen required of the job.
Conduct regular and ongoing performance coaching and conduct both mid-year and annual reviews. Partner with BGPM and HR to conduct on going CA skill assessments and provide relevant training opportunities. Serve as the central point of contact for CA day-to-day responsibilities (e.g., process questions, nCino issues, etc.) Identify and communicate important information related to changes in processes, policies, or other role related topics Collaborate with partners (CSLs, COs, UTLs, UWs, Credit Systems) to identify areas for improvement in the credit and underwriting processes.
Plan and manage staff and controllable expenses. Travels on a periodic basis to meet with CAs and Relationship Teams, attend bank, client, and educational meetings and events. Education Qualifications Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Experience Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of commercial banking experience (e.g., credit structuring & analysis, sales functions, risk assessment, knowledge of commercial banking products, services & technology) accounting (preferred) Minimum of 5 years working in Credit Structuring & Financial Analysis (preferred) Ability to manage workflow and complex commercial banking deals.
