Job Description/Preferred Qualifications Location: Multiple U.S. Locations Duration: Summer Internship (12 Weeks) Work Model: Hybrid/Onsite, Depending on Business Needs About the Role As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers to develop innovative software solutions that power KLA's advanced semiconductor process control systems.

You will gain hands-on experience building scalable applications, enhancing user experiences, analyzing data, and contributing to software that supports cutting-edge technologies. Interns are treated as valuable members of the team and are given ownership of meaningful projects that address real-world engineering challenges. What You'll Do Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and tools.

Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Collaborate with software, hardware, applications, and systems engineering teams. Build and enhance user interface components using modern software development frameworks. Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects. Support performance optimization and scalability improvements. Work with large datasets and develop data-driven solutions. Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and Agile development activities.

Present project outcomes and recommendations at the conclusion of the internship. Preferred Qualifications Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in: Computer Science Software Engineering Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering Data Science Or a related technical discipline Strong programming skills in one or more of the following: C++ Java C# JavaScript/TypeScript Understanding of object-oriented programming principles.

Familiarity with software development tools such as Git and debugging environments. Experience with databases, cloud technologies, or machine learning is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
