Job Title : Mixer Department: Production FLSA: Non-Exempt General Function The Mixer’s responsibilities include: Operates a mixing machine while following our Food Safety Plans, HACCP, GMP’s, Allergen Sequence, and Production Lists. Core Competencies Partnership Growth mindset Results oriented Customer focused Professionalism Reporting Relations Accountable and Reports to: Director of Meat Operations, Production Managers and Supervisors Positions that Report to you: None Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Maintaining and ensuring food safety.
Report any food safety deviations to your supervisor immediately. Reports to work when scheduled and on time. Adheres to company policies and departmental guidelines. Accepts responsibility for running Mixing equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Ability to understand weights/measures and identify correct ingredients and follow recipes. Follows production list and recipes provided by supervisor and operates machine in a safe and sanitary manner.
Must be able to read and understand product dating requirements. Communicates with team to ensure quality product is produced. Need to be able to work as member of the mixing team and be flexible in jobs performed throughout the day. Informs maintenance of needed repairs. Performs other job-related duties and assists in other areas of plant as needed. Other duties as assigned by management. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics: Attention to detail and follow through.
Ability to read and interpret written instructions. Must be knowledgeable of safety program, procedures, sanitary practices and standards. Education and Experience: High school education or equivalent. Prefer food manufacturing experience. Physical Requirements: This is considered an unskilled position. Frequent to constant handling, grasping, constant listening, talking, hearing, seeing, reading, dealing with people, influencing others, evaluating information.
Working Conditions: Duties performed in production area. Will be required to work in other production capacities or seek supplies in warehouse as needed. Ability to adapt to changes throughout daily operation. Ability to move, stand bend and lift throughout work shift. Equipment Used to Perform Job: Mixer, Dumper, Pallet jack and Barrel Lifter.
