Title: Operations Coordinator Location: Columbia, MD- Hybrid schedule The Operations Coordinator, Program Operations supports the implementation of ICF’s utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs, with a focus on commercial building systems and energy-efficient technologies. This entry-level role plays a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and effective management of energy and environmental programs by reviewing documentation for compliance, responding to customer and contractor inquiries, identifying opportunities for process improvements, sharing best practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

By leveraging ICF’s deep understanding of client needs and emerging technologies, the Coordinator helps deliver high-quality services that support energy efficiency goals. Key Responsibilities Work as part of the energy efficiency team ensuring that the evaluation, implementation, and verification of utility-sponsored energy efficiency projects are successfully executed.
Provide technical assistance , training, and guidance on energy efficient technologies and practices to participa nts in utility-sponsored programs. Develop and share best practices across the team and organization. Collaborate with IT, Reporting, Marketing, and Customer Care teams. Conduct analyses to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. Assist with processing incoming project applications.
Review project application forms and submittals to ensure compliance with program policies and procedures. Assign project applications for further processing and review per program policies and procedures. Assist with customer and contractor inquiries. Coordinate quality control follow-up on project inspections and customer surveys as appropriate . Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications Degree in Energy, Environmental Studies, Business Admin or related fields preferred. Knowledge of the utility market (specifically energy efficiency, demand response, and distributed energy resource programs and markets). Experience interacting with business owners, representatives and other key stakeholders.
Experience with advanced Microsoft data software such as SharePoint Lists and Power Automate Strong time management, communication, and organization skills. Outstanding analytical, writing, and communication skills. Compensation : A lthough the posted range below is broader, this position is anticipated to offer a base salary in the $55,000 to $57,000 range. Actual compensation may vary based on the candidate’s location, experience, and other relevant factors.
