As an Engineering Technology & Applications Management student, you will be a part of the larger Engineering Services department and gain exposure to the full lifecycle of project design development and the management of engineering systems. This role will provide you with hands-on assistance with the configuration, setup, and use of various engineering applications and systems. These technologies are critical to the development and execution of engineering projects that ensure safe daily operations and future growth across Irving Oil locations.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping transform how we work with technology. The Engineering Technology Management team is located within our Irving Oil Home Office in Saint John. The core mission of this team is to ensure our company is operating with a safety-first approach. Responsibilities: Provide in-house support on various engineering technologies for project teams Assist with the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of engineering applications Support and execute both independent projects and team-based initiatives Support both independent projects and team-based initiatives Your Skills : Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration Proactive and able to take a hands-on approach to problem solving Your Experience: Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering- Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Science program Must have completed at least 1 year of post-secondary education and be returning to school What We Offer: Professional Development – Student focused learning & development sessions, mentorships and networking events Student Benefits – Housing allowance, relocation support, co-op fee reimbursement and parking allowance for qualifying candidates.
