ISS-Corporate is hiring! In this role, you will leverage ISS-Corporate's proprietary data, research, and tools to support companies in understanding and responding to sustainability risks and opportunities. You will work closely with corporate clients to enhance sustainability disclosures, align reporting with leading standards and frameworks, and communicate sustainability-related insights to management and board-level stakeholders.
The role focuses on supporting companies in improving environmental and social disclosures, increasing transparency, and aligning disclosures with evolving stakeholder expectations, reporting frameworks, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities On a day-to-day basis, your key responsibilities will include: Serve as a member of the Sustainability Advisory team, supporting clients on sustainability-related challenges and opportunities across various industries.
Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring proactive engagement and timely responses to inquiries and project requirements. Build and maintain relationships with senior client executives and management teams, providing tailored guidance and recommendations based on client objectives and priorities. Monitor developments in sustainability reporting standards, rating methodologies, regulatory requirements, and investor expectations to identify key disclosure trends and emerging topics.
Develop and deliver high-quality client presentations, reports, and other advisory deliverables. Facilitate discussions with sustainability, legal, investor relations, and executive stakeholders regarding sustainability reporting and disclosure practices. Analyze sustainability data and disclosures using ISS-Corporate data platforms and research tools to identify opportunities for improvement. Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, including white papers, webinars, toolkits, and client-facing content.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support client projects and product initiatives. Support business development activities through subject matter expertise and client engagement as needed. This role involves limited travel (approximately 10% or less) for client meetings, conferences, and industry events. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Economics, Public Policy, Law, Corporate Governance, or a related field.
A Master's degree in a relevant discipline is an advantage. 1-5 years of relevant experience in research, advisory, consulting, corporate governance, business, finance, regulatory, policy, risk and compliance, sustainability, ESG, or other related analytical and client-facing roles. Experience in sustainability reporting, ESG strategy, sustainability research, sustainability advisory/consulting, or responsible investing is an advantage.
Fluency in spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese is required to effectively engage with Chinese-speaking clients and stakeholders. Familiarity with Corporate Sustainability Reporting, Responsible Investing, corporate governance, regulatory developments, sustainability-related regulations, or related research areas is an advantage. Understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks and standards, including ISSB (including SASB), ESRS, CSRD, TCFD, TNFD, GRI, and other relevant frameworks is an advantage.
Exposure may be gained through professional experience, academic research, internships, or postgraduate studies. Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and identify actionable insights and recommendations. Proficiency in Excel and experience using data analysis tools to synthesize, analyze, and communicate complex information. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
