JOB SUMMARY Sr. Strategic Buyer – Technical Expertise The Sr. Strategic Buyer plays a critical role in sourcing materials, equipment, and services across designated regions. This position supports strategic initiatives tied to site development and infrastructure expansion, ensuring timely procurement aligned with project timelines, budget constraints, and technical specifications Core Competencies.

Align procurement plans with project milestones, budgets, and technical requirements. Lead RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs to drive competitive pricing and optimal terms. Utilize platforms like Coupa, SAP, for sourcing, tracking, and spend analysis. Use MS Office and Power BI to analyze procurement data and generate actionable insights. Maintain accurate documentation for audits, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Drive cost savings through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and value engineering. Monitor market trends and pricing benchmarks to support budgeting and forecasting. Identify and qualify vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery performance. Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships to ensure compliance and value delivery. Collaborate with finance, legal, and operations to ensure seamless procurement execution.
Support project teams with timely delivery of materials and services Qualifications / Skills / Experience Bachelor’s Degree (Required): A foundational requirement, preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s Degree (Preferred): An advanced degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, or Business adds strategic depth and leadership potential.
Specialization in Supply Chain (Preferred): Demonstrates focused expertise in procurement processes, logistics, vendor management, and strategic sourcing. 2–4 Years in Procurement: Hands-on experience in purchasing, supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost optimization. Exposure to both direct and indirect procurement is valuable. Combination of Education and Experience: Candidates with strong practical experience may offset formal education requirements, especially if they've held roles with increasing responsibility.
MS Office Suite (Required): Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, dashboards), Word, and PowerPoint for reporting, documentation, and presentations. SAP (Good to Have): Familiarity with SAP ERP modules like MM (Materials Management) or Ariba for managing procurement workflows, purchase orders, and vendor databases. Power BI (Good to Have): Ability to create interactive dashboards and analyze procurement data to support decision-making and performance tracking.
