In this role, you will represent fire alarm, life safety, security, communications, and integrated electronic systems solutions to customers in commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, government, and critical infrastructure markets.
You will join a structured transition period alongside an experienced senior sales representative, giving you the opportunity to learn the territory, build trusted relationships, and create new business opportunities while supporting continued growth. Role Overview This is a hunter-style outside sales role focused on identifying new opportunities, developing customer relationships, and closing business in assigned territories.
Success in the role requires strong prospecting skills, consultative selling, and the ability to manage opportunities from first contact through contract close while partnering closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Identify, pursue, and qualify new customer opportunities within assigned territories and vertical markets. Develop and execute strategic prospecting plans to generate new sales opportunities.
Build demand for fire alarm, life safety, security, communications, and integrated systems solutions. Conduct cold calling, networking, customer visits, and marketing activities to build a healthy sales pipeline. Develop relationships with owners, facility managers, contractors, engineers, consultants, and end users. Create customer presentations, solution-based proposals, and financial justifications that support winning outcomes.
Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle using CRM tools and maintain accurate pipeline visibility. Develop forecasts, negotiate contracts, and secure customer commitments. Work with operations, engineering, estimating, and project management teams to support successful project execution. Establish trusted advisor relationships with new and existing customers and conduct regular account reviews.
Support customers in understanding regulatory requirements, code changes, and technology advancements. Partner with the retiring senior representative during the planned transition period and participate in customer introductions and joint sales calls.
