In this position, the Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) has the focus on trading and execution activities, acting as a key link between External Asset Managers (EAMs), Relationship Managers (RMs), and internal trading and execution desks.
The role combines client servicing with hands-on involvement in trading, execution, and broader banking activities. With a strong focus on order handling and time-critical transactions, the ARM operates in a fast-paced, high-risk environment where accuracy, prioritisation, and sound judgement are essential. The role requires frequent direct interaction with EAMs, providing guidance on products, execution aspects, and the bank’s solutions.
YOUR CHALLENGE Trading, Execution & Banking Activities: Manage the full spectrum of client transactions, including securities trading, FX, credit utilisation, deposits, and payments Ensure accurate and timely handling of trade orders, including complex and high-value transactions with strict adherence to deadlines and market cut-offs Monitor and consider credit exposure, margin availability and liquidity before executing or forwarding transactions Coordinate closely with trading desks, execution teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely processing Actively manage time-critical tasks and prioritisation, particularly in volatile market conditions or for large/complex transactions Provide support on loans, credit lines, deposits, FX and payments, ensuring proper execution and follow-up Maintain strong risk awareness across all activities, including: Execution, settlement and counterparty risks Credit and margin risks Unusual transaction patterns, particularly in payment flows Client Interaction & Advisory (EAM Focus): Serve as a direct contact for EAMs for trading-related and operational matters Provide clear and professional guidance on: Investment products (incl.
structured products) Execution constraints, deadlines, and market practices Credit exposure, margin availability, and related solutions Bank platforms and available tools Communicate proactively on order status, issues, and delays, especially in time-sensitive situations Maintain a calm, reliable and solution-oriented approach under pressure Account & Data Management: Ensure high-quality maintenance of client data and documentation Retrieve and provide product, pricing and market information using internal systems and external sources Prepare client-specific information, reports, and presentations as needed Risk Management & Controls: Operate in an environment with strict accuracy requirements and minimal tolerance for errors, particularly in transaction handling Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal and regulatory requirements Act as a first line of defence: Identify inconsistencies, risks, and unusual patterns Monitor credit exposure and transaction risks Escalate issues in a timely and structured manner Key Performance Indicators: Accuracy and quality of transaction handling (critical) Timeliness and responsiveness, especially under time pressure Effective prioritisation based on risk and urgency Client satisfaction and reliability YOUR PROFILE Education and Experience: Banking apprenticeship or equivalent financial education Experience in a trading support, execution, or client servicing role Exposure to financial markets and investment products Professional Skills: Solid understanding of: Financial markets, trading processes and instruments Credit, margining and risk considerations FX, payments, deposits, and lending services Ability to efficiently navigate internal systems and external sources for product and market information Familiarity with trading and order management systems is an advantage Fluency in English a
