Positions in this job family provide nutrition counseling, education, and assessments in healthcare settings. Responsibilities may include developing specialized menus and diets, creating nutrition materials, supporting community nutrition programs, and coordinating dietary services with other departments and professionals. Provides oversight for Food Service Department. Typical Job Duties: Assess nutritional and dietary needs and provide appropriate recommendations .
Develop and deliver nutrition education and training programs. Conduct surveys and assessments to support program development and improvement. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, agencies, and departments. Develop educational materials and specialized menus. Prepare reports, quality improvement data, and required documentation. Participate on interdisciplinary and facility survey teams.
Plan menus, food specifications, and procurement activities. Job Type/Salary: Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Annual Salary is $ 76,600 FLSA Status is Exempt. Posted: Until filled Minimum Qualifications and Experience: Registration as a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and Licensure with the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision and four years of experience as a registered dietitian in a food service operation or in a public or community health program or facility.
A master’s degree in public health with a major in nutrition or a master’s degree in foods and nutrition with an emphasis on nutrition may substitute for one year of experience. Must also possess a strong commitment to patient well-being and safety. Special Requirements: Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 80 pounds, push and pull a maximum force of 40 pounds, and lift/hold overhead 40 pounds.
