Job Description Formulates, monitors and implements investment policies to manage assigned portfolios. Devises and implements investment strategies and processes to meet client goals and constraints, constructs and manage portfolios and makes decisions on what and when to buy and sell investments.
Minimum Requirements. Namibian Citizen NQF Level 8 degree focusing on Finance, Accounting, Economics or Statistics. Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Accountant. 5-8 years’ working experience in Investment Management, with 5 years on Supervisory/management level as a Portfolio Manager Proven ability to meet and exceed tough business targets on a consistent basis Excellent decision-making ability.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; Strong technical skills; Financial Acumen Excellent networking skills; Computer literacy; Highly motivated and self-starter; Well organized and dynamic; Ability to work independently. Monitoring developments in security markets Investment decision making and implementation Being Responsible for all functions related to the management of the investment portfolio Buying and selling investment assets Liaising with tax attorneys or accountants to determine legal consequences of investment decisions.
Developing investment and economic strategies based on management philosophy and customer objectives. Formulating, revising and implementing investment plans which may include fixed income, equity, property and foreign exchange portfolios and economic reviews. Analysing the market, looking for opportunities and working with external consultants to develop new products and features in existing products to suit specific target markets; and Balancing own priorities with directing and motivating others.
