POSITION SUMMARY The Department of Global and Public Health at McGill University is seeking a Research Assistant 2 to support a project evaluating the integration of a trauma-informed approach within the Public Health and Preventive Medicine Residency Program.

The project, "Évaluation de l’intégration de l’approche TIME dans le programme de résidence en santé publique et médecine préventive de l’Université McGill," aims to assess whether implementing a trauma-informed approach improves the well-being of residents and staff, while identifying barriers and facilitators to successful implementation. RESPONSIBILITIES Conducts research activities using established qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, protocols, and procedures to evaluate the integration of a trauma-informed approach within the Public Health and Preventive Medicine Residency Program.

Oversees and assists with the development and execution of research instruments, data collection activities, and research documentation, including planning and conducting semi-structured interviews with residents and staff and maintaining project records. Collects, analyzes, and interprets quantitative and qualitative research data, including wellbeing measures obtained through the PERMAH questionnaire and interview findings, and contributes to the dissemination of results through reports and presentations.

Assists with the development of knowledge translation and implementation resources, including a handbook supporting the adoption of trauma-informed approaches within the residency program. Recommends and implements improvements to research and evaluation processes by identifying barriers and facilitators to implementation and contributing to evidence-informed program enhancement strategies. Assists in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of research-related program initiatives, including peer-support interventions and activities associated with Quality Improvement and Wellbeing Committee meetings.

Performs various administrative tasks related to the project, including coordinating research meetings, participating in Residency Program, Curriculum, and Admissions Committee meetings, preparing materials, and supporting project follow-up activities. Responsible for the quality and integrity of assigned research activities and deliverables, ensuring adherence to established research protocols, ethical standards, and project timelines.

QUALIFICATIONS Possess a master’s degree in public health, medical Education, trauma-informed collaboration, or a related field. Familiarity with trauma-informed collaboration principles Demonstrated experience in action research projects, including study coordination, participant recruitment, data collection, data management, and quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare research materials, reports, presentations, and knowledge dissemination products for diverse audiences.

Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with experience interacting effectively with research participants, community partners, and multidisciplinary research teams. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within interdisciplinary and multicultural research environments. Strong organizational and project coordination skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing research priorities.
