The Disability Benefits Specialist, CPP/QPP is a key contributor to the evolution and excellence of our disability management operations.

The incumbent is responsible for coordinating, supporting and advancing the integration of government disability benefit programs, including QPP and CPP, within the disability management process. Through expert guidance, financial analysis, and member advocacy, this role delivers meaningful outcomes for members while contributing to operational excellence, continuous improvement, and sustainable business results.

The role supports members through referrals, applications, appeals, benefit offsets and ongoing follow-up activities while ensuring accurate administration and positive member outcomes. The position serves as a key resource for internal stakeholders and contributes to operational efficiency, financial results and continuous improvement initiatives through the effective coordination of government disability benefit programs.

What You’ll Do:   Full management of QPP/CPP files following referral by the Disability Case Specialist (referrals, applications, follow-ups, appeals, decisions) Initiate the process and support plan members with their application Complete the required follow-ups and ensure the process is completed Communicate with plan members by phone and in writing to explain the impact of offsets   Advisory expertise for DCS, TLs and internal stakeholders Act as a subject matter expert for QPP and CPP files Provide expert guidance on complex cases and emerging practices related to government disability programs Contribute to knowledge sharing, process enhancements, and operational best practices across the organization Follow up on files Provide status updates   Financial analysis and application of offsets Determine the amount of the QPP/CPP retroactive payment Initiate recovery steps with QPP/CPP Communicate the impact of QPP/CPP approval to the plan member Enter the necessary information in the systems to ensure file continuity Ensure calculation accuracy and compliance with contracts Enter data into the systems to apply offsets   Relationships with external organizations and resolution of complex files               Call QPP/CPP to understand timelines and decisions Ensure that QPP/CPP has all the necessary information and documentation to make a decision, particularly in cases of refusal by QPP/CPP Process refusal decisions and support the insured person in initiating the appeal of the decision Identify opportunities to improve processes, member experience, and operational effectiveness Participate in initiatives that support innovation, quality, and the ongoing evolution of disability management practices  What You Bring: Post-secondary diploma in administration, insurance, acco
