Description of Work Broughton Hospital is currently accepting applications for the Environmental Services Director position. The Environmental Services Director provides leadership and oversight for the hospital’s Environmental Services Department, ensuring a clean, safe, sanitary, and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:   • Directly supervise, schedule, and evaluate Environmental Services staff and daily operations including linen, and unit personal care items across the facility.

• Manage staffing, recruitment, performance management, disciplinary actions, and other personnel activities. • Develop and maintain departmental policies, procedures, organizational charts, and performance plans. • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, safety, quality, and compliance standards are met. • Coordinate with various departments and hospital leadership on operational needs.

• Manage departmental supplies, equipment, purchasing requests, and budget priorities. • Oversee pest control services and support state health inspections, and regulatory surveys. • Monitor and assign service requests through the Event Tracking system. • Participate in hospital committees and professional development activities. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Recruitment Range: $47,703.00 - $87,479.00 Salary Range: $47,703.00 - $87,479.00 Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred: Must be knowledgeable of hospital housekeeping with experience and knowledge in infection control, modern cleaning methods and approaches, and equipment use and selection   Must be knowledgeable of product sections, use, and safety Experience managing the housekeeping program for a large institutional or commercial setting   Experience developing and delivering staff training   Experience managing bio-hazard disposal   Experience with chemicals and cleaning methodologies for various types of surfaces  Conditional Requirements: Selected applicants must be able to pass a State Bureau of Investigation Criminal History Check, and complete and pass BLS/CPR training and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training during orientation.

This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events. This is an anticipated vacancy. The normal work schedule for 1st Shift is Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00 pm.
