Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is looking for a Program Manager 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals on the Mission Systems Communications, Navigation, and Identification.

This position will be located in Melbourne, FL . The Communications, Navigation, Identification (CNI) IPT Lead will report to the Mission Management Capability Lead and will provide management, direction and leadership and will have the responsibility, accountability and authority for the overall requirements, design, development, integration, test and certification of communications for the airborne platform.

The CNI IPT lead will be responsible for the development and integration of specific CNI solutions including beyond line of sight (BLOS) and line of sight (LOS) communications, platform navigation in both commercial and military airspace, and platform identification across multiple programs. The CNI IPT lead directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.

Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test.

Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas The CNI IPT lead also ensures coordination within the CNI IPT to assure integration of the requirements, interfaces, and related technical performance.

Ensure integration across all mission systems IPTs to provide assurance of the delivery of fully integrated mission systems products. The CNI IPT Lead will be required to coordinate directly with the government and extended government agencies on the team’s behalf. The CNI IPT lead will be expected to collaborate with all appropriate weapon system IPTs, including the Missions Systems Chief Engineer.

The CNI IPT Lead should have a working knowledge of platform integration during the development, integration, test and certification phases.
