Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Operations Manager 2 based out of our Baltimore Logistics Center in Baltimore, MD .
This role has primary responsibility for receiving, inventory management, outbound material flows, site operations coordination, and direct interface with external functions and peer leaders. 2nd Shift Hours - 2:00pm - 11:30pm What You’ll Get to Do: Lead 2nd‑shift warehouse operations across receiving, inventory control, and outbound shipping/issue activities Manage and develop a 2nd‑shift team of represented workforce; provide direction, coaching, and performance feedback Oversee receiving operations , system receipts, put‑away, and discrepancy resolution Own inventory management and material control for 2nd shift, ensuring accurate on hand balances, timely transactions, and robust internal controls Lead outbound operations (picking, kitting, staging, shipping) to meet production schedules and delivery commitments Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for inventory accuracy, cycle counts, receiving throughput, outbound performance, and overall 2nd‑shift effectiveness Champion process standardization, documentation, training, and EHS/5S practices to maintain a compliant, safe, and efficient warehouse operation Serve as the primary 2nd‑shift operations lead , ensuring effective shift handoffs and clear communication of priorities, constraints, and escalations Interface directly with external functions and peer operations managers across shifts and sites to coordinate material flows and resolve issues Support internal and external audits, providing objective evidence of MMAS compliance and effective inventory control , and leading 2nd‑shift corrective actions Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of combined experience in warehouse operations, supply chain, logistics, or inventory management; a Master’s degree and 6 years of combined experience in warehouse operations, supply chain, logistics, or inventory management; High school diploma/GED and 12 years of combined experience in warehouse operations, supply chain, logistics, or inventory management may be considered in lieu of degree requirement Experience Leading (supervisor, team lead, or manager) in a fast-paced environment in warehouse, supply chain, or inventory control and driving root-cause analysis and corrective actions for inventory discrepancies Experience working with inventory management in a distribution environment (material control, transactions, inventory accuracy, or cycle counting) Experience using MMAS (Material Management and Acco
