The ROM team build the first code that runs on a microcontroller - ROM-embedded software that kickstarts the system, sets up the hardware, and locks down security. It’s lean, fast, and built to last. We collaborate closely with hardware, validation, and security teams to ensure everything works seamlessly from power-on to production.

🔍 Responsibilities – What We Do Contribute to the development of innovative and high‑quality software products that support our long‑term vision. Take part in shaping clear requirements, designing system architecture, and maintaining well‑structured code and configurations. Work independently while collaborating effectively across teams to plan, design, and deliver software solutions that address customer needs and improve product performance.

Develop ROM firmware in early development stages, ensuring functionality even before hardware silicon becomes available. Conduct thorough verification and debugging in pre‑silicon environments, consistently aiming for complete test coverage and reliable delivery. Strengthen critical parts of the codebase to ensure our ROM firmware remains secure and resilient against potential physical or logical threats.

Follow prescribed security frameworks, including EdgeLock requirements, and ensure compliance with relevant safety and security standards. 💻 Technical Knowledge – What You Bring To thrive in this role, you should bring: Practical experience with embedded programming in C and enthusiasm for working close to hardware. A solid understanding of microcontroller architecture fundamentals. Analytical mindset and reliable debugging skills for embedded targets and low‑level software.

Familiarity with standard software development workflows, processes, and best practices. Working knowledge of GIT or other version control tools. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken. It’s a plus if you also have experience with: ROM code or bootloader development. Automotive development standards such as ASPICE or ISO 26262. Working with low‑level drivers for ARM‑based microcontrollers.

Developing or testing embedded software for microcontrollers. Real‑time operating systems in embedded environments.
