Position Overview Nurse Practitioner (NP) opportunity. Position is located at Delaware Valley Hospital in Walton, NY and Downsville, NY Full-time, exempt and seeking both experienced and new graduate Nurse Practitioners seeing all ages. Shared call every 5-6 weeks with one week on. Must be board certified and able to be licensed in the state of New York Primary Department, Division, or Unit: UHS Primary Care Walton Annual Compensation Range: $138,500 - $163,000 ----- The Nurse Practitioner will provide general medical care and treatment to patients in our medical facility, under direction of physician.
Perform physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of physician. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs. Record physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition. Discuss cases with physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan.
May refer patients to physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment. FNP must possess current licensure in New York State as an RN and must have a current New York State license as a Nurse Practitioner. Education/Experience Minimum Required: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree Possession of an NPI (National Provider Identification) number, as evidenced by the receipt of a copy of the notification assigning the number Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program License/Certification Minimum Required: Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse License American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) certification Current NYS Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) license and certification with New York State Education Department Documentation of current CPR certification required within one (1) week of hire, with maintenance of current CPR certification during employment Certified Prescriptive Privilege in NYS ----- Why You’ll Love Working at UHS At United Health Services (UHS), we believe every connection—to patients, to purpose, to each other—makes a difference.
