Senior Software Engineer - Java Developer

Position Summary Java - 4 to 8 Years Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based enterprise applications using Spring Boot. Design and implement RESTful APIs and Microservices following industry best practices. Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions and high-level designs. Develop integrations with databases, messaging platforms, and third-party systems.

Design database schemas, write optimized SQL queries, and improve application performance. Implement security standards including authentication, authorization, and API security. Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making. Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards, design principles, and development best practices. Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root cause analysis.

Work closely with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation and environment management. Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA teams, Product Owners and Architects to deliver high-quality solutions. Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to team members. Contribute to system scalability, reliability, observability, and maintainability initiatives. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and release planning.

Required Skills 4-8 years of hands-on experience in Java application development . Strong expertise in Java. Extensive experience with: Spring Boot Spring MVC Spring Security Strong experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and Microservices . Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design, SOLID Principles, Design Patterns. Experience with containerized application development and deployment.

Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL  and database design. Experience in query optimization, indexing, and database performance tuning. Experience working with Github   and branching strategies. Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Experience with unit testing and integration testing frameworks such as JUnit . Knowledge of API documentation standards such as Swagger .

Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture. Experience consuming and integrating external APIs and services. Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with business stakeholders. Experience reviewing code and guiding junior developers. Preferred Skills   Experience with RabbitMQ , Kafka, or other messaging platforms. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Graylog Experience implementing event-driven architectures.

Exposure to reporting platforms such as JasperReports. Qualifications Education Bachelors degree in related field.
