Associate Lecturer - Introduction to Economics (HE1)

Job Description This course is designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of economic analysis and reasoning, and it is the course upon which subsequent, more specialised economics courses are based. The aims of this course are: • To introduce students to an understanding of the domain of economics as a social science, • to introduce students to the main analytical tools and reasoning used in economic analysis.

• to introduce students to the main conclusions derived from economic analysis and to develop students’ understanding of their organisational and policy implications. • to enable students to participate in debates on economic matters. Job Requirements - A PHD or Master's Degree in related discipline from a reputable university. - At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience at the tertiary level is preferred - 5 years of relevant work experience will be an added advantage - Applicant must be able to teach both day and night classes - All lecturers to set a minimum of 2 assignments and 1 prelim per academic year.
