Job Description Overview Join Candu Energy Inc., an AtkinsRéalis company, as a Project Controls Director and play a pivotal leadership role on one of Canada’s most significant and complex project environments. Based in Ontario, you will lead the Project Controls function within a major joint venture, driving strategy, governance, performance, and digital transformation to support safe, predictable, and successful project delivery.
Working alongside project leadership, JV partners, clients, and multidisciplinary teams, you will influence critical decisions, strengthen project performance, and contribute to the advancement of engineering excellence, innovation, and nuclear project delivery. Your Role Lead the Project Controls strategy, governance framework, standards, and operating rhythm across the joint venture scope. Direct integrated cost management, budgeting, forecasting, change control, risk integration, and performance measurement activities.
Oversee planning and scheduling processes, including integrated master schedule governance, critical path analysis, progress measurement, and recovery planning. Deliver clear, accurate, and forward-looking executive and client reporting to support informed decision-making. Champion the adoption and optimization of EcoSys, Oracle/OneERP, and project reporting systems as part of ongoing business transformation initiatives.
Build alignment and promote consistent ways of working across JV partners, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders. Lead, coach, and develop multidisciplinary Project Controls professionals while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. About You Ability to lead large-scale Project Controls functions on complex capital, EPC, nuclear, infrastructure, energy, mining, or industrial projects.
Proficiency in cost control, planning and scheduling, forecasting, change management, risk management, reporting, and governance practices. Ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders within joint venture, alliance, consortium, or multi-organization environments. Aptitude for translating complex project performance data into concise business insights, decisions, and actions. Proficiency in Primavera P6, EcoSys, Oracle ERP/OneERP, Power BI, and modern project controls systems and reporting tools.
