Job Description Job Title: Chief Electrical Engineer – Rail Metro Projects Job Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh Join Us! This role requires to lead the engineering, design, and technical delivery of Electrical Systems for Rail Metro Projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, quality requirements, safety regulations, budget targets, and project schedules while supporting successful project execution and system integration.
What will you do? Engineering Leadership Lead and manage the electrical engineering team across all project phases. Provide technical direction, guidance, and review of engineering deliverables. Ensure compliance with project requirements, standards, and engineering best practices. Design & Engineering Management Oversee design, review, and approval of electrical system deliverables. Coordinate engineering activities related to Traction Power Supply Systems, OCS/3rd Rail, SCADA, Auxiliary Power Systems, Lighting, Earthing & Bonding, and Depot Electrical Systems.
Ensure designs are optimized for safety, reliability, maintainability, and cost-effectiveness. Technical Coordination & Interface Management Coordinate with Civil, Signaling, Telecommunications, Rolling Stock, and System Integration teams. Resolve technical issues and interface challenges impacting project delivery. Support design reviews, technical workshops, and stakeholder meetings. Project Execution Support Provide engineering support during procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning.
Review technical submittals, vendor documents, and material approvals. Ensure timely resolution of technical queries and site issues. Quality, Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with applicable railway standards, client specifications, HSE requirements, and quality procedures. Promote engineering excellence and safe project execution. Risk Management & Reporting Identify engineering risks and develop mitigation plans.
Monitor engineering progress and provide regular reports to project management. Support lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives. Experience, Education and other Required: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Master's Degree is an advantage. 20 years of design experience in Electrical turnkey Infrastructure Projects with 10 years of minimum design experience in Rail/Metro Minimum 8 years in a senior engineering leadership role.
Proven experience in Metro Rail Electrification, Traction Power Supply, OCS/3rd Rail, and System Integration. Preferred Industry Experience: Metro Rail, Railway Electrification, Urban Transit, High-Speed Rail, Transportation Infrastructure, and EPC Projects.
