What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities) Operational Delivery Manage daily processes, identifying , investigating, resolving, and reporting issues to internal and external platform users to maintain the integrity of S&P Global's European energy data. Create and maintain data documentation, including Azure DevOps user stories, mappings, and quality control thresholds. Ensure new and edited data points are quality assured before release and integrated into products, business logic, and quality assurance processes to maintain consistency between databases and products.
Coordinate the standard release of script updates and logic changes, ensuring successful integration for clients. Analyze and streamline data workflows from source to output, understanding how they link to our platforms. Maintain and prioritize the data change request backlog to ensure all requests are tracked and completed and the dataset remains accurate and up to date. Assist in answering data-related client questions, both internal and external, ensuring platform user issues are investigated and status updates are provided to client-facing team members within agreed SLAs.
Contribute to automation and AI-enabled improvements. Process Excellence Work with the Data Collections group and internal market analysts to ensure new data collection requests are processed and prioritized. Ensure data changes, script updates, and logic changes follow defined quality assurance, release, and documentation processes. Support the integration of new and edited data points into products, business logic, and quality assurance workflows.
Stakeholder Management Communicate data changes to internal and external data stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data requirements and issues and generate innovative ideas and solutions. Work closely with clients and analysts to provide data subject matter expertise . Assist with analytical support for datasets by working with the wider data team, analysts, and Product team to ensure a complete and accurate dataset for European Gas, Power, and other commodities.
How Impact Will Be Measured (Success Metrics) Data accuracy and integrity - Maintain high accuracy rates through consistent validation, timely corrections, and adherence to defined quality thresholds. SLA and turnaround adherence - Meet or exceed service ‑ level timelines for data updates, validations, issue resolution, and stakeholder responses. Documentation completeness and currency - Keep process documentation, data dictionaries, lineage records, and stewardship artifacts up ‑ to ‑ date, audit ‑ ready, and fully aligned with governance standards.
For This Role You'll Need to Have (Skills & Competencies) Technical Skills Intermediate knowledge of, or exposure to, databases such as PostgreSQL and SQL Server. Intermediate Python coding skills. Experience working with Databricks and Apache Airflow. Intermediate Spark ( PySpark ) experience is desirable. Knowledge of Git (GitHub) is desirable but not essential. Understanding of cloud computing, preferably AWS.
Ability to retrieve, interrogate, manipulate, and analyze data and present findings. Knowledge of business intelligence tools for analyzing datasets and visualizing data.
