The Role: We are seeking an Associate Manager, Social Media Operations to help lead the day-to-day operation and continued evolution of Prudential’s social media operating model.
This role will serve as the operational backbone of Prudential’s owned social channels, ensuring content is planned, reviewed, published, tagged, monitored, and maintained with consistency and care. In addition to managing core social operations, this individual will help identify opportunities to improve workflows, strengthen governance, increase visibility, and scale execution across Prudential and PGIM.
Working closely with the Director of Social Media, the role will translate day-to-day operational learnings into recommendations that improve how the broader social media system works over time, while coordinating across Social Media, Brand Advertising, Communications, Business Marketing, Paid Media, Analytics & Insights, Legal, Compliance, agencies, and platform partners. What You'll Do: Social Media Operations & Channel Management Support day-to-day management of Prudential’s owned social channels, ensuring they are current, maintained, and operating effectively.
Manage routine channel hygiene, including profile updates, link checks, platform access, naming conventions, captions, thumbnails and basic maintenance. Identify recurring operational issues or process gaps and help resolve them with the broader social media team. Provide backup support for community monitoring and moderation as needed, routing questions or potential issues through established escalation protocols.
Publishing, Scheduling & Editorial Calendar Support Manage the social publishing calendar, tracking posts, assets, copy, links, disclosures, targeting inputs, and approval status. Schedule and publish approved content across social platforms and tools, ensuring posts launch accurately and on time. Coordinate publishing workflows with content strategists, agencies, Communications, Paid Media, Product Marketing, Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders.
Ensure content packages are launch-ready, including copy, creative, alt text, links, tags, UTMs, SRT/Caption files, thumbnails, talent rights, required disclosures and approvals. Content QA, Compliance & Operational Hygiene Review social content before publishing to confirm alignment with approved copy, creative, brand standards, platform requirements, accessibility expectations, and compliance guidance.
Track approval status and documentation to ensure required reviews are completed before launch. Maintain consistent tagging, taxonomy, file naming, version control, link management, and asset management practices. Partner with content strategists and reviewers to resolve executional issues before launch. Asset, Knowledge & Documentation Management Maintain social asset repositories, content archives, publishing records, operational documentation and internal “Social Media Hub” page.
Document repeatable processes, checklists, templates, and ways of working that improve consistency and reduce friction. Support records management and content retention practices with appropriate internal teams. Capture learnings, recurring issues, platform updates, and operational best practices. M
