Job Overview: Job Summary** The Crew Chief at Primoris Services Corporation is responsible for leading and overseeing field crews in various construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality in all operations. Job Responsibilities** * Supervise and direct the daily activities of a field crew, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing guidance. * Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, safety regulations, and company policies.
* Conduct daily safety meetings, enforce safety protocols, and identify and mitigate potential hazards. * Operate and maintain various construction equipment as needed. * Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings. * Perform quality control checks on work completed and make necessary adjustments. * Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and crew members.
* Complete daily reports, time sheets, and other necessary documentation accurately and on time. * Train and mentor crew members, fostering a positive and productive work environment. * Manage materials, tools, and equipment on job sites to ensure proper usage and accountability. Job Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or relevant certifications preferred. * Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a construction or utility-related field, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
* Proven ability to lead and motivate a team. * Strong understanding of construction methods, equipment, and safety procedures. * Ability to read and interpret technical documents. * Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL may be required depending on project needs. * Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
* OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
