Join us as a Portfolio Manager, C&I CIO Digital We’ll look to you to understand and use Agile and DevOps principles, allowing sufficient flexibility for the portfolio to evolve as customer value is proven and the needs evolve You’ll be managing a rolling investment portfolio to realise the strategic objectives of the enterprise or domain by providing investment planning, the transformation portfolio and design services This is a great opportunity to take on a role in an innovative, forward thinking environment where you’ll be able to have a tangible effect on the function What you'll do As a Portfolio Manager in the C&I CIO Digital banking governance and assurance team , you’ll be defining and developing a portfolio governance structure to provide appropriate governance, control and management of the bankline transformation portfolio, domain portfolio or platform portfolio, including any associated interdependencies.

You’ll collaborate with domain leads, release train managers, product owners and enterprise architects to conduct regular reviews of the investment portfolio and backlog, challenging the status quo and driving informed decision making about portfolio priorities. You’ll also be: Making sure that investments are identified from the bankline transformation portfolio and prioritised from the domain portfolio or domain backlog relating to the minimum viable product, providing value to the customer and bank as early as possible Partnering with a range of stakeholders to ensure an accurate, rolling pipeline view of investment Using a constant feedback of velocity rather than a fixed plan, understanding the value that is being generated is maintained, used and kept under regular review Defining, creating and managing a rolling wave strategic themed investment plan, aligned with the expected future business value outcomes Driving measurable improvements in the efficiency, accuracy and transparency of domain health reporting through process enhancement, automation and AI technologies, ensuring a well-defined and prioritised backlog of continuous improvement opportunities A trusted delivery partner and advisor to the Programme Managers across the domain portfolio, offering support, advice and recommendations based on the insights and analysis gained from delivery reporting tools The skills you'll need T o succeed in this role, you’ll need a blend of portfolio management, programme delivery and PMO leadership experience, with the ability to operate as a trusted partner to delivery teams and senior stakeholders within an Agile or DevOps environment.

You'll also bring experience using portfolio and delivery management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft 365, Planview and emerging technology delivery platforms, for example Kiro. You'll be comfortable leveraging automation and AI to improve reporting efficiency, accuracy and transparency, while maintaining a continuous improvement mindset to simplify processes, strengthen controls and drive operational effectiveness through data and AI-enabled solutions.

In addition, you’ll need: A recognised portfolio, programme or project management qualification, such as PRINCE2 Agile, MSP, AgilePM, SAFe Portfolio Management or an equivalent certification Proven experience in portfolio management, governance and assurance within a complex change, technology or transformation environment, including managing risks, dependencies, milestones and delivery performance Demonstrable experience supporting the delivery of technical projects or programmes, working closely with programme managers, product owners, architects and engineering teams to achieve successful outcomes Strong analytical and reporting capabilities, with the ability to translate complex delivery data into meaningful insights, recommendations and actions for stakeholders and senior leaders Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge constructively an
