We are looking for a Wellbeing Specialist – Occupational Health & Return to Work to bring health, rehabilitation and injury management expertise together with practical workplace solutions to help our people stay healthy, recover well and return to work safely. Drawing on your experience in allied health, occupational health, rehabilitation or injury management, you will be a trusted partner to employees and leaders across our Australian operations.
You will take the lead on Return to Work and injury management, working closely with employees, leaders, treating practitioners, insurers and our People and Health & Safety teams to achieve safe and sustainable recovery outcomes. Beyond individual case management, you will also help shape our broader approach to workplace health – strengthening first aid coordination, health surveillance, ergonomics, injury prevention and wellbeing initiatives.
This is a hands-on and highly collaborative role for someone who enjoys combining health expertise, problem-solving and genuine human connection to make a visible difference to people's experience at work. Let’s talk about responsibilities Lead Return to Work & Injury Management You will be a key point of contact for employees requiring injury management and Return to Work support, guiding cases from initial notification through treatment, rehabilitation and sustainable recovery at work.
You will: Develop and coordinate individual Return to Work and recovery-at-work plans. Work closely with employees, leaders, treating practitioners, rehabilitation providers and insurers. Translate medical advice, functional capacity and workplace restrictions into practical workplace adjustments and suitable duties. Maintain regular contact with employees throughout their recovery and proactively address barriers to successful Return to Work.
Support effective workers compensation and injury management processes. Monitor outcomes and identify opportunities to continually improve our approach to injury management. Perform all administrative workers compensation and salary continuance functions including, but not limited to, initial notification, benefits calculation, wage reimbursements, claims correspondence, claim review facilitation and filing.
Coordinate, facilitate and monitoring progress in treatment, rehabilitation services and recover at work plans through regular liaison with stakeholders and development of recover at work plans Monitor the performance of, and resolving concerns with, the Insurer, Financial Intermediary, Rehabilitation Provider, Legal Representation and other parties acting on our behalf on injury management matters Maintain thorough and confidential records in line with laws and guidelines Bring Occupational Health Expertise to the Workplace You will provide practical occupational health guidance across our business.
This includes: Supporting the assessment and follow-up of workplace injuries and health matters within your professional scope. Providing guidance to workplace first aiders and coordinating escalation to medical or allied health practitioners where required. Partnering with leaders to understand health restrictions and identify safe and appropriate workplace arrangements. Providing occupational health advice to Health & Safety, People and business leaders.
Supporting workplace health assessment processes where appropriate. Maintaining strong governance, professional boundaries and confidentiality. Strengthen First Aid & Workplace Health Programs You will help ensure our workplace health programs are effective, contemporary and well governed by: Coordinating Resmed's workplace First Aid program and network of trained first aiders. Managing first aid training, refresher education and certification requirements.
