For our business, for clients, and for you Senior Fund Accountant Cape Town Description The Senior Fund Accountant is responsible for overseeing the preparation and review of NAVs, financial reporting, and statutory reporting for corporate entities.
The role supports the management team in ensuring all accounting, regulatory, and client reporting requirements are met, while also mentoring junior team members and contributing to the overall development of the division. Job specification Work closely with Assistant Managers, Managers, and Directors to plan, coordinate, and complete NAVs, reviews, management reporting, and statutory reporting. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, listing requirements, and client reporting obligations.
Supervise and mentor trainee fund accountants and fund accountants. Liaise with fund managers, brokers, and custodians to resolve issues in a timely manner. Ensure all client deliverables are met in line with agreed deadlines and best practice standards. Assist external auditors to ensure audits are completed efficiently and on time. Support the ongoing management and development of the division. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual NAVs.
Skills Required: Commerce degree. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail and structured approach to work. • Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. Ability to prioritise work and meet strict deadlines. Strong communication and organisational skills. Motivated and driven individual. Minimum of 2 years of fund-related accounting experience.
