Director, AI Product Ops — TAAP Product Job Description: We are seeking an exceptional, transformative Director of AI Product Ops to lead the operational and cultural evolution of Thomson Reuters' Tax, Audit, Accounting & Practice (TAAP) product organization. In this exciting opportunity as Director, AI Product Ops , you will evolve our traditional program and operations function into a lean, AI-first Product Ops office.
Your mission is two-fold: drive operational excellence across our entire software portfolio with "near-zero-overhead," and spearhead our AI maturity program, moving our teams from basic personal productivity to advanced, agent-driven workflows. This is a hands-on, builder's seat designed to modernize how our teams work. You will serve as a critical catalyst for product innovation and foster faster, more effective ways of working across the team.
By automating coordination and program management tasks, you will not only liberate our product teams from administrative overhead, but enable them to focus on deep customer discovery, modern product craft, and high-velocity execution—ultimately delivering superior customer experiences, higher-quality products, and stronger commercial value for Thomson Reuters. You will lead a small, senior team of product ops experts and carry a TAAP-wide change-management mandate.
Scope of the Estate Your operational mandate spans the entire TAAP product landscape: The Core Portfolio ("Bedrock"): Our market-leading, established suite of tax and accounting products. The Agentic Stack ("Catalyst"): Our cutting-edge, agent-first platform powering experiences like CoCounsel and Ready to Review. Key Responsibilities: 1. AI-First Product Operations Drive a Near-Zero-Overhead Model: Architect and run product operations where AI agents automate traditional coordination tasks—such as status reporting, dependency tracking, and cross-functional communications—allowing humans to focus on product judgment and execution.
Streamline the Product Estate: Own product operations across both the Core ("Bedrock") and Agentic ("Catalyst") portfolios, unifying them under a single, highly efficient, and modern operating rhythm. Bridge Multi-Product Dependencies: Own the dependency seam where product commitments break. Build automated tooling and visibility systems to expose cross-team dependencies, GTM milestones, and timelines across Catalyst and Bedrock applications.
Support Modern SDLC Workflows: Ensure that all operational processes and visibility tools integrate seamlessly with our suite of modern agile and AI tools (e.g., Linear, Slack, GitHub, Claude) so that the operational backbone supports, rather than slows down, rapid engineering sprint cycles. Partner on Migrations: Collaborate with Customer Success to integrate large-scale customer migrations smoothly into the product-ops framework without interrupting core product execution.
Define & Execute against Metrics that Matter : Move the organization away from vanity metrics toward metrics that drive the business forward. Execute a regular cadence that moves the metrics and the business. 2. AI Transformation across TAAP Drive the AI-Maturity Roadmap: Lead TAAP's evolution from Level 1 AI usage (individual productivity tools) to Level 2 (shared team infrastructure: e.g., shared prompts, MCP integrations, shared skills) and toward Level 3 (agents acting on systems of record) and beyond.
Enable Modern PM Ways of Working: Use the AI-maturity transformation as the vehicle to elevate the PM craft. Lead enablement of PMs on using modern AI tools (e.g., Cursor, v0, Claude Code) and AI-first product development. Build Shared Capability Playbooks: Establish and scale the internal playbooks (covering shared context, agentic workflows, model evaluations, and prompt libraries) that teams adopt as standard, reusable infrastructure.
