Duties and Responsibilities: Order, receive, handle and store chemicals for cleaning, circuit imaging, and plating printed circuit boards. Perform chemical additions to plating and imaging process tanks. Keep accurate records of daily activities. Strictly follow safety regulations, policies, and procedures. Responsible for maintaining the standards of quality effluent as prescribed by the City of San Diego Metropolitan Industrial Waste Program (MIWP).

Operate the facility wastewater pretreatment system. Responsible for chemical inventory for the facility Control pH and heavy metal content as required by the MIWP permit. Properly label and store waste as required by OSHA and EPA. Once initial training and certification is completed, will transfer hazardous waste to disposal facilities in accordance with DOT requirements. Perform routine maintenance tasks as required to assure proper working conditions of the waste treatment system and the manufacturing process tanks.

Interface and assist City, State and Federal Inspectors when on site. Assist maintenance staff and operators with preventive maintenance of equipment. Essential Knowledge and Skills: Must possess working knowledge of waste treatment operations, processes, equipment, machinery and terminology. Familiar with regulations relating to chemical safety and waste treatment. Plumbing and pump repair skills. Able to lift 50 pounds and work in hazardous chemical, fumes and odors environment.
