Job Description Corporate Strategy and Planning Support the CEO in leading the execution of the country strategic plan and driving strategic initiatives alongside the business units.
Secretariat to Management Committee (MC) - Facilitate preparation of MC, agenda setting based on matters arising and pressing issues/topics, prepare minutes and follow up on action items. Review issues and actions arising from internal committees, regulatory updates, banking association and Group MC for local management input and timely resolution. Perform regular environment scan to ensure any opportunities and risk impact are considered and discussed with CEO for further consideration of appropriate action by relevant stakeholders.
Track regulatory/external correspondences to CEO, working closely with Compliance and respective divisions to ensure appropriate responses are provided. Prepare CEO’s presentation materials and notes – including meeting with Group management committee, Board of Directors, external meetings with Regulators and industry association. Strategic pointers in line with Group/Bank’s directions and working with various functions within the bank.
Work closely with Finance, in particular Performance Management to identify key revenue and cost drivers to improve business performance. Identify leading indicators and adopt forward looking view in supporting the CEO and senior management to drive business forward. Strategic Projects Support, drive and/or maintain oversight on strategic projects for CEO. This will mainly involve cross function projects with strategic importance to the bank.
Review and coordinate CEO’s Engagement Plan, prioritise and provide oversight on CEO internal and external engagement events – working across functions, areas, and people engagement activity in consultation with HR and respective business units. Extensive event schedule from business oriented (deals, sustainability, customer/authorities events, partners, etc.) to internal, (Town hall, branch visits, staff engagements, etc.) to corporate CSR and other bank wide activities.
Job Requirements: Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, Business Administration, Management, Commerce or equivalent. Incumbent with MBA would be an added advantage. Preferably with 12 years prior working experience, spanning strategy planning department, performance management, strategy consulting, advisory, banking or related financial services industry. Excellent analytic skills and ability to systematically identify appropriate research methodologies for addressing key issues.
Interest in both local and global macroeconomic development and current affairs. Strong in idea generation, analytical & problem-solving skills, organization skills and work effectively & efficiently despite under pressure. Understand/ analyse financials, Microsoft savvy (in particular Powerpoint, Excel, Access).
