About Clair If you can send your friends money in seconds, why does it still take your employer two weeks to send your paycheck? At Clair, we are on a mission to create financial freedom for America's workers by giving them a digital banking platform that allows them to get paid as soon as they clock out of work. But we're not just another digital bank or on-demand pay provider. We meet Americans at their place of work by embedding our products within the scheduling, workforce management, and payroll apps they already use every day.
Learn more about us at getclair.com/about The role Clair is an embedded fintech company. We get workers access to the wages they've already earned, before payday, through the payroll and scheduling tools they already use, like Gusto, QuickBooks, and 7shifts. We're hiring our first Brand & Marketing Designer. You'll own the visual work behind how Clair shows up and how we sell: illustration, marketing emails, our website, sales and partner decks, and motion in the product.
One week you're building an illustration set for onboarding, the next you're designing a partner pitch or a campaign in Braze. You'll report to the Director of Design and work across product, marketing, and sales. The ideal candidate has a strong visual point of view, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to move comfortably between big-picture creative thinking and hands-on execution. What you'll own Illustrations Build the illustration Clair uses in the product and across marketing, and set the bar for what it looks like.
Grow our illustration library so designers aren't starting from scratch every time, including helping tune our AI tools to match our style. In-product visual work Build on Clair's in-product illustration set: empty states, onboarding, success and error moments, credit-builder milestones, etc. Own motion and micro-interactions on the flows that carry weight: requesting an advance, success screens, hitting a credit goal, etc.
Help refine Clair's in-product motion, and add more of it in Figma Motion so it stays consistent with how the design team works. Sales, partner, and marketing design Design sales, MBR, and fundraising decks that position the product and business well, working closely with Design, Product, and Partnerships. Design recurring marketing emails in Braze. Design and update pages on our website , built in Framer.
Design assets for social and paid marketing campaigns. Own events and marketing collateral (banners, signage, printed materials), delivering production-ready files for digital and print and coordinating with outside vendors or agencies when a project calls for it. Must-haves Strong original illustration: You have a point of view and a style of your own, and a portfolio that shows exceptional illustration work.
Range across the business: You're comfortable moving between product, marketing, and sales/growth, holding quality across all three. Plus at least one of Website design: We build on Framer. Motion and animation: A strong understanding of Figma Motion is ideal, since that's what the design team uses and it keeps product handoffs clean. What we're looking for 2–4 years of experience in visual, brand, or marketing design.
A strong portfolio across a range of formats: product, marketing, and presentation work. Experience across brand identity, campaigns, digital and email marketing, social, and presentations.
