Role Summary Rowan Digital Infrastructure is looking for a Utility Project Manager to support the project lifecycle for reliable and cost-effective infrastructure for our growing portfolio of data center locations.
As the Senior Infrastructure Projects Associate, you’ll support the delivery of Rowan’s power and water infrastructure solutions by working with leading utilities partners to deliver critical projects on time and on budget to meet Rowan’s capacity and reliability requirements, and partner with customers to meet Rowan’s sustainability objectives. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with experience managing multiple large-scale technical infrastructure and interconnection projects, possess a strong project management background, and a passion for carbon free energy and sustainability.
In this role, you will work directly with utilities, customers, and project partners during the engineering, procurement, and construction phases of a project. Internally, you will partner closely with site development, engineering, construction, and operations team to drive successful project delivery and in-service dates. To succeed, candidates need to understand the technical nature of this work, effectively manage a critical path schedule, reliably deliver in constrained and ambiguous environments, and tactfully escalate and report to organizational leaders and partners.
Travel: Ability to travel up to (30%) for company gatherings, utility meetings and project site visits Location: Strong preference for candidates to be in Denver, CO, or Seattle, WA Compensation: $110K-$130K - Offers Bonus Essential Responsibilities Execute project implementation for a rapidly growing portfolio of utility infrastructure projects (medium and high voltage power, water and wastewater delivery and treatment) serving hyperscale data center sites Manage multiple utilities and contractors to deliver utility infrastructure from project agreement through in-service and handoff to operations Develop and execute creative bridging solutions with utility partners and contractors for last mile distribution projects Partner with customers to achieve sustainability goals via implementation of renewable and carbon-free technologies for a data center project Coordinate communication and deliverables between utility partners and internal stakeholders Education, Skills, and Experience Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g.
engineering or construction management) or at least five (5) years of experience in project management in the data center, water or energy industry At least three (3) years of technical infrastructure project experience (5 years preferred) Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) (preferred) Technical expertise related to electric transmission and distribution infrastructure, or water and wastewater treatment, planning, engineering, construction, and operations Working knowl
