Description We are seeking a Primary Care Physician to provide professional primary care physician services in Las Vegas and surrounding communities in Southern Nevada . The physician will establish and maintain relationships with patients, provide comprehensive medical care, participate in a call schedule, and deliver outstanding customer service. This is a full-time, at-will position serving at the pleasure of the CEO.
Opportunities are available across multiple primary care locations in the Las Vegas metropolitan area. The organization is an academic medical center and serves as the anchor hospital of the Las Vegas Medical District, providing high-level medical care to promote successful patient outcomes. Compensation: Salary Range: $234,104–$306,675.20 annually Job Responsibilities Provide professional primary care physician services. Establish and maintain effective relationships with patients. Provide comprehensive medical care for adult and pediatric patients .
Assess patients' medical, social, and emotional needs. Develop and implement individualized care plans. Participate in a physician call schedule. Provide appropriate referrals and coordinate with outside agencies when necessary. Ensure medical services are appropriate and consistent with sound healthcare resource allocation. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities. Contribute to peer review processes.
Develop goals, objectives, policies, and procedures as applicable. Apply leadership techniques in the delivery of medical services. Make effective decisions during stressful and emergency circumstances. Provide outstanding customer service. Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare personnel. Work collaboratively with personnel across the organization. Follow applicable federal, state, local, and accreditation laws, regulations, and standards.
Follow infection control, patient rights, safety, emergency response, and hazardous materials procedures. Use medical equipment, supplies, computers, and related software safely and effectively. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited school of medicine in: Family Medicine/Primary Care Pediatrics Internal Medicine Valid Nevada medical license — required. Nevada State Pharmacy Board License to prescribe medications — required.
DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate — required. BLS certification accepted by the American Heart Association (AHA) — required. Board Certified or Board Eligible as an American Board of Family Medicine Physician. Knowledge and ability to provide both adult and pediatric care. Understanding of infectious diseases and infection control practices. Knowledge of applicable medical laws, regulations, standards, and trends.
Knowledge of quality assurance, performance improvement, and peer review processes. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and personnel. Ability to multitask and make sound decisions under stress. Ability to solve problems and develop appropriate care plans.
Working Hours Full-time Participate in a physician call schedule Specific daily shift hours are not provided. Position is at-will and serves at the pleasure of the CEO.
