Emergency Medicine Physician – Night Shift Erie, Pennsylvania $310–$335 per hour 26-Week Assignment | Potential for 52 Weeks Job at a Glance Position: Emergency Medicine Physician Schedule: Night Shifts Assignment Length: 26 weeks, with potential to extend to 52 weeks Location: Erie, Pennsylvania Position Type: Locums Specialty: Emergency Medicine Compensation: $310–$335 per hour Visa Sponsorship: No Job Description Delphi Healthcare is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a night-shift opportunity at LECOM in Erie, Pennsylvania.

This is an initial 26-week assignment with the possibility of extending to 52 weeks . We are looking for a physician who is comfortable working independently in a busy Emergency Department and managing a broad range of acute and emergent medical conditions. An infectious disease background or experience managing infectious disease presentations is preferred for this opportunity. The Emergency Medicine Physician will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, providing emergent treatment, performing appropriate emergency procedures, stabilizing patients, and coordinating care with specialists and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients presenting with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries. Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations.

Order and interpret laboratory testing, imaging, ECGs, and other diagnostic studies. Provide immediate care for life-threatening conditions, including trauma, cardiac emergencies, strokes, and other acute presentations. Perform emergency procedures as clinically appropriate, including intubation, central line placement, chest tube placement, fracture reduction, and other interventions. Participate in resuscitations and patient stabilization.

Consult with specialists and coordinate transfers when higher levels of care are required. Respond to emergencies throughout the hospital as needed. Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation. Work collaboratively with nursing, EMS, specialists, and other hospital staff. Provide professional, compassionate communication with patients and their families. Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Completion of an accredited residency in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine. Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine preferred; Internal Medicine or Family Medicine may also be considered. Active Pennsylvania medical license. Valid DEA registration. ACLS certification. PALS certification or equivalent.

ATLS preferred. Strong clinical decision-making and critical-thinking skills. Ability to perform emergency procedures and manage high-acuity patients. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively and collegially with the Emergency Department and hospital team. Infectious disease experience or background preferred.
