DATA PLATFORM ARCHITECT up to £100,000 + Benefits London (Hybrid) This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large-scale consumer-focused digital organisation, taking ownership of the architectural direction of a modern data platform that sits at the heart of business decision-making, digital growth and AI innovation. THE COMPANY: Our client is a highly recognised international digital business with a strong consumer presence and a global audience.

Operating across multiple regions, the organisation has invested heavily in its data capabilities and is continuing to transform how data powers decision-making, customer experiences and emerging AI initiatives. As part of a wider data and technology transformation, they are looking for an experienced Data Platform Architect to help shape the future of their data ecosystem and engineering standards.

THE ROLE: You will take ownership of data platform architecture, standards and solution design across a growing engineering function. Working closely with platform engineers, analytics engineers, product managers, governance teams and senior stakeholders, you will help ensure data is scalable, trusted and ready to support AI-driven initiatives. Key responsibilities include: Designing and evolving the organisation's cloud-based data platform architecture Assessing and recommending new technologies, tools and data solutions across the business Defining architectural standards, best practices and reusable patterns across engineering teams Supporting data governance, security, metadata and data quality initiatives Providing hands-on guidance around Terraform, dbt, CI/CD, DataOps and platform engineering practices Partnering with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions Driving improvements around data lineage, observability, modelling standards and platform governance Supporting AI readiness programmes, semantic layer initiatives and self-service data capabilities YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: You will bring strong capability in: Data Platform Architecture or Data Solutions Architecture experience within modern cloud environments Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Commercial experience using dbt within modern ELT ecosystems Strong understanding of DataOps, CI/CD and engineering best practices Experience working with governance, security, privacy or risk functions Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, coach and educate technical team THE BENEFITS: You will receive a salary of up to £100,000 depending on experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to play a key role in shaping a modern, AI-ready data platform.
