Job Description Woodland Middle School - Long Term Substitute - 8th Grade Math - (9/11/2026-10/28/2026) We appreciate your interest in employment with Woodland Public Schools. Position Title: WMS 8th Grade Math - Long Term Substitute Posting #: 3754 Location: Woodland Middle School Dates: 7 hours per day, M-F, 9/11/26 through 10/28/2026 Days/Hrs: Monday-Friday, 7 hours per day Pay Schedule: Link to Schedule Benefits: Position does not qualify for health benefits, but does qualify for retirement through the WA State Department of Retirement Systems DRS). Job Summary: To teach and educate students according to their educational needs and abilities.

Plan, prepare, and deliver the lesson. Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and behavior of students. Communicate, consult, and cooperate with other members of the school staff. The work assists the superintendent toward the accomplishment of the mission of the Woodland Public Schools of preparing students for career, life, and college so that they can become responsible and compassionate citizens.

Work is performed under the direction of the principal. Qualifications: Possess a current Washington State teaching certificate with an Elementary/Middle Education or Math Endorsement. Demonstrate the ability in classroom management. Demonstrate successful recent experience working with students. Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively. Successful experience working with youth Successful experience working with diverse populations Familiarity with a wide variety of teaching techniques that are used to maximize student learning Ability to work cooperatively with students and their parents who are culturally, racially, and linguistically diverse Comfortable working in a collaborative environment in a program focused on improving student learning Ability to work in a semi-open or self-contained classroom Ability to work with
