Administration Assistant/Typist

Due to a position becoming available within our Services, we are looking to recruit a band 2 typist/admin assistant. The successful candidate will provide clinical transcription and administrative support to the Head & Neck teams., Main duties will include typing/editing correspondence using the G2 clinical transcription system , filing investigation results, retrieving/distributing case note files from all areas of the Trust, data input, using the hospital information systems and any other duties specified by the Directorate Management team.

The post holder will work under the direction of the Medical Secretaries to deliver administrative support within the department, ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are met, working within, and adhering to, the Trust standards of practice and Trust policies and procedures., Please ensure you have read and understood the Job Description and Person Specification before submitting your application.

3 GCSE's including English or equivalent ECDL or IT qualification / equivalent experience, Health Service background Business Administration level 2 or equivalent, Advanced word processing skills / qualifications Previous experience working in an office environment Experience working under pressure and to tight deadlines, Advanced audio typing skills Knowledge of medical terminology, Good communication skills Willingness to work as a team member Willingness to be flexible in order to meet demands of the department Ability to work on your own initiative and to be conscientious Ability to prioritise your own workload Strong work ethic Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester.
