AGACNP / PA-C - Medical Hospitalist Group - Sarasota, FL

Sarasota Memorial First Physicians Group is looking to employ an AGACNP or PA-C to join the Medical Hospitalist Group on the West Coast of Florida. Sarasota is located approximately 60 minutes south of Tampa. The area is known for the arts, great restaurants, world-class beaches, excellent schools and a wide variety of activities for all ages. The Medical Hospitalist Group , with over 80+ Physicians and APPs, is known for its strong teamwork and fun working environment.

Duties and Responsibilities : Full time, APP position to join the night shift 12-hour shifts (7:00PM to 7:00AM), 13 shifts per month . The APP will cover floor calls answering questions or assist nursing or other departments with the care of the group’s patients. Supervising Physicians are in house for the entire shift for support. Will attend codes and rapid responses with supervising Physician if needed.

Will assist with admissions and consults when time permits. No call is required. Requirements : Current NCCPA or ANCC certification required and must also have an active license by the State of Florida by the time of hire. Board Certified Physician Assistant, Board Certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who has active, relevant and routine experience in 2 of the last 4 years (defined as at least 500 acute care inpatient encounters over two years).

Board Certified Adult/Family Nurse Practitioner , who has active, relevant, and routine experience in 2 of the last 4 years (defined as at least 1,000 acute care inpatient encounters over two years).
