CVOR Technician Unit Details This position involves a diverse range of surgical procedures across various specialties, including: General Surgery Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) Plastic Surgery Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Ophthalmology (Eyes) Cardiovascular and Thoracic (CV/Thoracic) Laparoscopic Surgery Urology Robotic Surgery Orthopedic Surgery Orthopedic Total Joint Procedures Neurosurgery and Spine Bronchoscopes Colonoscopy Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) Enteroscopy Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) Fiber Optic Procedures Flexible Sigmoidoscopy Shift Information This role is for day shifts on a 4x10-hour schedule from 06:45 to 17:15.
Weekend coverage is included in call requirements, with up to 12 call days per month and every other weekend expected. Floating Requirements The selected candidate may need to float within the facility scope of practice and to nearby facilities as needed. Experience Requirements A minimum of one year of relevant experience is required. The unit is open to first-time travelers. Compliance and Orientation Full compliance is required to start on time.
Missing compliance deadlines may result in a delay. Orientation hours are determined by the length of the assignment. Holiday Expectations Travelers are expected to work during major holidays, with specific expectations based on the number of holidays falling within the assignment period: One major holiday: Work one holiday. Two major holidays: Work both holidays. Three major holidays: Work two out of three holidays.
Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. Additional Information Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers.
