The ALN Statutory Team undertake a range of duties to support the implementation of the Additional Learning Needs and Education Tribunal (Wales) Act 2018. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to lead and line manage a small team of Statutory Team Officers. This is an exciting time to join the service at a time when the service is developing a range of new systems and processes to support the implementation of the ALN Act.
A key development for the team will be the implement and monitor an online system for monitoring and developing individual development plans (IDP). The Inclusion Group sits within the Education, Early Years and Young People Directorate and offers a highly supportive and inclusive working environment for the right person. We are looking for a creative, energetic individual who is committed to improving opportunities for all children and young people with additional learning needs.
This is a great opportunity to undertake a pivotal role in the development and implementation of the ALN Reform. The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post. Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees. An Enhanced with Childrens Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
