Company Overview: A leading investment firm is seeking an Analyst/Associate, Valuation Specialist to oversee investment valuations across its Senior Lending and Private Equity businesses. Job Responsibilities: Assist in quarter-end full valuation procedures through approval by the Valuation Committee and independent BDC Boards of Directors Assist in month-end bringdown valuation procedures, including third-party positive assurance for applicable funds Assist in daily valuation procedures for applicable funds Assist in structured finance valuation procedures for applicable products Assist in the creation and maintenance of internal debt and equity valuation models Assist with preparation and presentation of valuation packages, highlighting results, drivers, and themes Serve as primary coverage on a portion of the portfolio, analyzing complex investments and challenging assumptions Liaise with third-party valuation firms, address due diligence questions, and coordinate internal review of their models Evaluate market drivers and fundamental drivers of portfolio companies Evaluate quotes/trades on liquid loans and liquidity sleeves Evaluate situations where Senior Lending and Private Equity are investing in different parts of the capital structure in the same company Address investor, auditor, reporting, and parent company requests Conduct stress testing and ad hoc analyses Interface with various stakeholders, including Underwriting, Capital Markets, Finance, Risk Management, Operations, Investor Relations, Senior Management, Boards of Directors, Auditors, Investors, Fund Admins, and Valuation Vendors Qualifications: 2-4 years of private valuation experience Bachelor’s degree in a related field with an excellent academic record Experience with modeling and valuation techniques used to mark-to-market private debt and equity investments CFA designation or candidacy is a plus Compensation: Salary: $110,000 - $125,000, Plus Bonus
