Alternatively, you are an experienced legal administrator looking to move out of corporate, into the Australian Public Service. At CDPP, you’ll work on diverse and complex cases, spanning drug importation and child sexual exploitation through to tax and welfare fraud and corporate offences. The Role The Legal Support Officer (LSO) works closely with the Coordinator, Legal Support Services to CDPP to fulfil its purpose through the delivery of a broad range of administrative support services.
You will be responsible for undertaking general administrative support services to meet the day-to-day needs of the legal practice groups. Your responsibilities will include: Creating and administrating case files, photocopying, filing, data entry, and records management Drafting emails, routine correspondence and documents from templates Coordinating witness, drafting summons/subpoenas, arranging travel and other court-related tasks Preparing court materials, undertaking deliveries and collections, and lodging / filing documentation Conducting basic research activities, arranging video conferencing, interpreters and translators Liaising with Federal Prosecutors, external agencies, courts and counsel The Ideal Person You will bring the following skills and experience: Knowledge and experience in delivery of a broad range of support services in a government and/or legal environment Ability to apply judgement and provide advice using established procedures Research and analysis skills, resolving issues based on established procedure Ability to develop positive stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively within a team Demonstrated level of personal drive, initiative and integrity Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Baseline security clearance are a requirement to be considered.
