Job Introduction Job Introduction We have an exciting opportunity for the role of Area Manager – Mental Health within the West Mental Health team part of our Adult Care and Community Wellbeing directorate. This is a fixed term role until July 2027. Here at Lincolnshire County Council, we are building a strong, forward-thinking Mental Health service and we are looking for an Area Manager, who will provide strategic and operational leadership across adult care services in your designated area.
This is a pivotal role where you will champion high-quality, strengths-based, person-centred practice, and drive continuous improvement across multiple service settings. Key Responsibilities: You will: Lead and manage adult care services Ensure compliance with statutory duties, policies, and best practice standards. Inspire and support diverse teams, including Principal Practitioners and Team Managers.
Collaborate with partners across health, housing, and the voluntary sector to shape and deliver integrated services. Monitor performance, manage budgets, and contribute to strategic planning and transformation initiatives. About you What we’re looking for: A qualified professional in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing with current registration (HCPC/NMC). Proven leadership experience in social care or health settings.
Strong understanding of legislation, commissioning, and integrated working. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and change management skills. A commitment to innovation, inclusion, and delivering outstanding outcomes for adults in Lincolnshire. About the team We are the Mental Health Social Work Team, at Lincolnshire County Council. Our team is made up of Team Managers, Senior Social Workers, Social Workers and Social Work Assistants working across three localities in Lincolnshire.
