could be offered an interview prior to the closing date.Main duties of the jobClinical responsibilities:The post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashionMaking professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisationAssessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problemsScreening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illnessIn consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for healthAdmitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriateRecording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standardsCompiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible)Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriateIn general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.About usWe are a high achieving, forward thinking and well organised teaching Practice.The team consists of 7 partners, 8 salaried GPs, an ACP, a Practice Pharmacy Team, Practice Based Physiotherapists, 9 nurses and HCAs and a capable and competent administration support team.The Practice aims to deliver high-quality care to over 17,800 patients, using SystmOne.

We work from a purpose-built surgery, hosting an extensive range of extended services. As a training practice, there is an active undergraduate and post graduate teaching programme in place. We are part of the Rushcliffe PCN and are a high achieving Practice with full QoF and local enhanced service achievements. We recently received an OUTSTANDING CQC accreditation.The role is supported by our local Rushcliffe PCN.

Applications are welcomed from newly qualified GPs as well as experienced GPs. Our PCN is very supportive to all ARRS roles and will support you to work by providing an experienced Clinical Director as your mentor, as well you receiving mentorship from a clinical lead within the Practice, if required., accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashionMaking professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisationAssessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problemsScreening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illnessIn consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for healthProviding counselling and health educationAdmitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriateRecording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standardsCollecting data for audit purposesCompiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible)Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriateIn general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
