Are you a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher looking for a new opportunity from November? Flourish Education are working with a welcoming secondary school in Edgbaston that is looking to appoint a full-time Art Teacher to join their team. You will be joining a supportive environment where staff work together to provide high-quality teaching and help students achieve their potential. The successful Art Teacher will teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, taking full responsibility for their classes. This will include planning and delivering creative lessons, assessing and marking students' work, monitoring progress and contributing to the wider life of the department and school.
This is a full-time role starting in November 2026, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or ECT looking for a long-term position. The Role Deliver engaging and creative Art lessons across KS3 and KS4 Plan and prepare lessons that challenge and inspire students Develop students' artistic techniques, creativity and confidence Assess and monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback Maintain a positive classroom environment and high expectations for behaviour Adapt teaching and resources to support students with different abilities Build strong and positive relationships with pupils and colleagues Contribute to departmental planning and wider school activities Take full responsibility for planning, marking and assessment Essential Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Previous experience teaching Art within a UK Secondary School Strong subject knowledge across the Art curriculum Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Effective classroom and behaviour management skills Ability to plan and deliver engaging and purposeful lessons A passion for developing students' creativity and artistic skills ECTs with relevant experience are welcome to apply Benefits of Working with Flourish Education £174.71–£240.70 per day, dependent on experience Equivalent to £34,068–£46,937 per annum based on five days per week across a full school year 12.07% holiday pay accrued into your holiday pot Pension contributions Free KCSIE-compliant Safeguarding and Prevent Duty Training Refer-a-Friend bonus scheme Regular contact and support from a dedicated Flourish Education consultant Location This Art Teacher position is based in Edgbaston, Birmingham, and is easily accessible from Harborne, Selly Oak, Bournville, Moseley, Quinton, Birmingham City Centre, Bearwood and surrounding areas.
