Within the Housing service there are four Locality offices covering Airdrie/Cumbernauld, Coatbridge/Kilsyth, Bellshill/Motherwell and Wishaw/Shotts with our Rents team located in Viewpark.
Based within various locations in North Lanarkshire, you will be responsible to the Accommodation Officer for the efficient management of dispersed and supported accommodation to a wide client group including homeless and other vulnerable clients. You will assist with developing the portfolio of accommodation in use in the area to ensure the stock available meets the needs of our clients and will support the caretaking and clerical staff to ensure that accommodation is cleaned, maintained and meets statutory health and safety requirements.
A SVQ Level 3 or HNC or equivalent, in a relevant Housing, Health & Safety or Social Work discipline is essential together with extended experience gained in a housing-related environment, experience of working with vulnerable people and a working knowledge of homeless legislation. Previous experience of working with housing providers, experience of property maintenance, report writing skills and IT skills are desirable.
A driving licence is also essential due to the geographical spread of the accommodation in the area. You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Group Scheme (PVG) member prior to starting this post. Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday 08:45 am - 16:45 PM, Friday 08:45 - 16:15PM.
